The Congo Basin. Is the last major wildlife habitat on the African Continent, however civil strife and rampant Corruption in this region have facilitated the escalation of the bushmeat crisis and habitat destruction.

Logging, mining and road construction companies have greatly facilitated species extinction in this region. Allowing the use of their facilities like trucks, poor renumeration of their staff, providing access and facilitating the transport of

Bushmeat and Logs
out of the forest to markets in the region.

Whilst we acknowledge that the utilization of natural resources is un-stopable, These companies bear the full responsibility for implication of their personnel and facilities in these crimes. These companies should also be responsible for the restoration of destroyed habitats.
